1. What services does Alfa Specialty Pharmacy provide?
Comprehensive pharmacy services for the LTC, assisted living, group home, hospice, senior living, and community clinics. The products and services include prescription and OTC drugs, medical supplies, enteral nutrition and customized compounding as well as Medication Therapy Management services and consultations.

3. How often can I expect to receive deliveries?
The routine deliveries go out every day. Emergency and after hour deliveries can also be provided. Backup pharmacy services are available for emergency situations that cannot wait for the next pharmacy delivery.
4. Are there extra charges for emergency deliveries?
We do not typically charge for true emergencies. However, if the requested delivery is for a preventable routine matter, there will be a fee for the additional delivery.
5. How are your medical record forms designed?
These forms were specifically designed with the patients and house staff in mind. They are designed to help minimize errors by providing additional information and tools including color images of the dispensed medications.
6. Do your medical records satisfy the DDA and DDS requirements?
Yes. Our current forms include the required DDA and DDS information on the back.
7. Do you have any EMAR capabilities?
Yes. Our pharmacy system has full EMAR capabilities as well as an HL-7 interface to enable us to communicate with other systems.
8. Can I access and edit my patient data remotely?
Yes. We provide you with a secure remote access into our system that can be used from any web browser. This system (FacilityLink) will enable you to securely communicate with the pharmacy, request refills and PRN medications, change treatment orders, discontinue existing orders, check on the status of an existing order, and many other features.
9. Do you mail medications overnight for longer distances?
Yes. We can accommodate overnight shipment for distant facilities
10. What kind of packaging systems do you use?
Currently we have the ability to provide blister packs, strip packaging and regular vials as the main packaging options. A facility may choose one or all three depending on the patient population and needs.
11. Are you able to customize different hours of administration for each location?
Yes. We can fully customize the HOAs for every facility and every nursing station as well as every patient within the nursing station.
12. How often do you generate your bills?
Pharmacy billing statements are generated once a month.
13. Do you accept credit card payments?
Yes. We accept credit cards.

15. Do you process Medicare Part B claims?
No. We do not currently process Medicare Part B claims.
16. Do you provide any assistance with Medicare Part D plan selection?
We can provide you with the information and assist you with formulary comparisons. However, we are not able to do the selection for you as per regulations.
